bug: Explorer shows directories as both directories and files

Describe the bug

Explorer shows directories both as files and directories and sometimes as just files. Moreover, they are seemingly nested wrong. When i try to open these 'files' it leads me to the netrw buffer. I tried disabling netrw but the issue still persisted and instead of netrw an empty buffer opened.

Edit: this behavior persist when tree is set to false as well

Netrw is disabled:
(plugins, custom, kickstart doc and lua are only directories not files)

Netrw is enabled:

And In some cases all of the directories in a root folder appear like directories
(api, interna,l and tmp are only directories not files)

Steps To Reproduce

1. Use Snacks.explorer.open() or Snacks.explorer()

Expected Behavior

I would expect the directories to not appear as files and only appear as directories.

I thought it was me for a good while but when I could reproduce with only Snacks i reported it :/

This is a dup of #901. I just made a small change that may or may not fix this.

Would be great if you can join the conversation in #901 and add any additional info you have there.
I still didn't find a way to reproduce this.
