bug(explorer): opening or closing a directory always jumps back to the top

Describe the bug

After searching for a file in the picker and clearing the input + <Esc> every confirm on a directory jumps the cursor back to the top. This could very well be user error since I'm still relatively new to neovim as a whole.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Search for a file, select it so the pane loses focus
2. Go back to explorer
3. Clear the input
4. Press <Esc> to leave input mode in the picker
5. Navigate down to a directory you want to open and open it
6. Cursor jumps back to the top

Expected Behavior

Opening a directory should not make the cursor move to anywhere else.

When you open a directory from search, it becomes the root of the explorer.
This is on purpose.

I think I didn't explain the issue very well and should probably include a video showing what's happening.

I searched and then cleared the search so I'm back in the root of the directory where I opened it from originally. But now when I try to open a directory in the explorer the cursor jumps back to the top each time.
