Whether you're a student, professional, or casual note-taker, our intuitive interface and robust features are designed to enhance your productivity and streamline your workflow.

Getting Started

Creating an Account

  1. Visit the Sign-Up Page:

    • Open your web browser and navigate to the Notion Editor WebApp homepage.
    • Click on the "Sign Up" button located at the top-right corner.
  2. Fill in Your Details:

    • User ID: Choose a unique identifier for your account.
    • Password: Create a strong password. Ensure it contains a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters.
    • Email: Enter a valid email address for account verification and recovery.
  3. Complete Registration:

    • After filling in the details, click on the "Register" button.
    • You may receive a confirmation email. Follow the instructions to verify your account.

Logging In

  1. Access the Login Page:

    • Go to the Notion Editor WebApp homepage.
    • Click on the "Login" button at the top-right corner.
  2. Enter Credentials:

    • User ID: Your unique identifier.
    • Password: The password you set during registration.
  3. Sign In:

    • Click the "Login" button to access your dashboard.

Dashboard Overview

Upon logging in, you'll be greeted with the Dashboard, your central hub for all activities within the Notion Editor WebApp.

  • Sidebar:

    • Folders: Organize your notes into different folders.
    • Pages List: View and select notes within the selected folder.
  • Main Content Area:

    • Editor: Create and edit your notes using rich text formatting.
    • Toolbar: Access formatting tools, AI features, and other utilities.
  • Top Bar:

    • Profile: Manage your account settings.
    • AI Settings: Configure AI tools and preferences.
    • Table of Contents: Generate and navigate your document's TOC.

Managing Notes

Creating a New Note

  1. Navigate to the Dashboard:

    • Ensure you're on the main dashboard screen after logging in.
  2. Click on "New Page":

    • Located in the sidebar or top toolbar, click the "New Page" button.
  3. Enter Note Title:

    • A prompt will appear. Enter a meaningful title for your note and confirm.
  4. Start Writing:

    • The editor will open with a default message like "Start writing here...". Begin adding your content.

Editing a Note

  1. Select a Note:

    • From the Pages List in the sidebar, click on the note you wish to edit.
  2. Use the Editor:

    • The selected note will load in the main editor area.
    • Click anywhere in the editor to start modifying the content.
  3. Formatting Tools:

    • Utilize the toolbar to format text, add headings, lists, and more.

Saving Your Work

  • Manual Save:

    • Click on the "Save" button located in the top toolbar to manually save your changes.
  • Auto-Save:

    • The application automatically saves your work every 10 seconds. Look for the "Saved" indicator after changes.

Auto-Save Feature

  • Reliability:

    • Prevents data loss by automatically saving your notes at regular intervals.
  • Visibility:

    • A "Saving..." indicator appears during the auto-save process, followed by a "Saved" confirmation.

Organizing with Folders

Creating a New Folder

  1. Click on "New Folder":

    • Located in the sidebar, click the "New Folder" button.
  2. Name Your Folder:

    • Enter a descriptive name for your folder and confirm.
  3. Folder Creation:

    • The new folder will appear in the sidebar, ready to house your notes.

Adding Notes to Folders

  1. Create or Select a Note:

    • Either create a new note or select an existing one from the Pages List.
  2. Assign to Folder:

    • During note creation, choose the desired folder from the dropdown.
    • For existing notes, use the "Move" option to relocate them to a different folder.

Navigating Folders

  • Expand/Collapse Folders:

    • Click on the folder icon to expand or collapse its contents.
  • Accessing Notes:

    • Click on a folder to view all notes within it in the Pages List.

Using AI-Powered Features

Enhance your writing experience with integrated AI tools designed to assist you in various tasks.

Accessing AI Tools

  1. Select Text:

    • Highlight the text within your note that you want the AI to interact with.
  2. AI Toolbar:

    • An AI toolbar will appear near your selection with available AI actions.

Ask a Question

  • Functionality:

    • Generate answers or insights based on the selected text.
  • How to Use:

    • Highlight the text and click the "Ask" button in the AI toolbar.
    • The AI will provide a detailed response directly within your note.

Correcting Text

  • Functionality:

    • Automatically correct grammar and spelling errors in your selected text.
  • How to Use:

    • Highlight the text and click the "Correct" button in the AI toolbar.
    • The AI will refine the selected text, ensuring clarity and correctness.

Translating Text

  • Functionality:

    • Translate your selected text into English or other supported languages.
  • How to Use:

    • Highlight the text and click the "Translate" button in the AI toolbar.
    • The AI will provide a translated version of the selected text.

Custom AI Tools

  • Functionality:

    • Add and configure custom AI tools tailored to your specific needs.
  • How to Use:

    • Access AI Settings from the top bar.
    • Add new tools by specifying prompts and configurations.
    • Utilize these tools similarly to the default AI actions.

Formatting Your Notes

Customize the appearance and structure of your notes using various formatting options.

Basic Text Formatting

  • Bold, Italic, Underline:

    • Use the toolbar buttons to apply bold, italic, or underline styles to your text.
  • Headings:

    • Create headings (H1, H2, H3) to organize content hierarchically.
  • Lists:

    • Generate ordered or unordered lists for structured information.

Inserting Media

  1. Insert Image:

    • Click the "Insert Image" button and provide the image URL.
  2. Insert Audio:

    • Click the "Insert Audio" button and provide the audio file URL.
  3. Insert Video:

    • Click the "Insert Video" button and provide the video URL.
  4. Insert Iframe:

    • Click the "Insert Iframe" button and enter the webpage URL to embed.

Adding Links

  • Functionality:

    • Embed hyperlinks within your text for easy navigation.
  • How to Use:

    • Highlight the desired text and click the "Link" button.
    • Enter the target URL and confirm to create the hyperlink.

Comments and Collaboration

Facilitate collaboration by adding comments and annotations to specific sections of your notes.

Adding Comments

  1. Select Text:

    • Highlight the portion of text you want to comment on.
  2. Add Comment:

    • Click the "Add Comment" button in the toolbar.
  3. Enter Comment:

    • A prompt will appear. Type your comment and confirm.
    • The commented text will be highlighted, indicating an active comment.

Editing and Deleting Comments

  • Viewing Comments:

    • Click on the highlighted commented text to view existing comments.
  • Editing a Comment:

    • In the comment tooltip, click the "Edit" button.
    • Modify your comment in the provided field and save.
  • Deleting a Comment:

    • In the comment tooltip, click the "Delete" button.
    • Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Table of Contents

Generate and navigate through a structured overview of your document's headings.

Generating TOC

  1. Toggle TOC:

    • Click the "Toggle TOC" button in the top bar to display the table of contents.
  2. Automatic Generation:

    • The TOC is generated based on all H1, H2, and H3 headings in your document.

Navigating TOC

  • Jump to Section:
    • Click on any entry in the TOC to smoothly scroll to the corresponding section in your note.

Profile Management

Manage your account and personalize your experience.

Viewing Your Profile

  1. Access Profile:

    • Click on the "Profile" button in the top bar.
  2. View Details:

    • Your User ID and other account details will be displayed.

Logging Out

  1. Click Logout:

    • In the profile section, click the "Logout" button.
  2. Confirm Logout:

    • You will be redirected to the login page upon successful logout.

  • Keyboard Shortcuts:

    • Utilize shortcuts for faster formatting and navigation (e.g., Ctrl+B for bold).
  • Drag and Drop:

    • Easily rearrange notes and folders by dragging and dropping them within the sidebar.
  • Search Functionality:
