Behavior

When "Contact Z distance" is set to 0, the bottom layer of the support material is missing. This doesn't happen on all models, I have included a test model that causes the bug.

This bug has been fixed with 46e8259
and it will be part of the beta to be released today: Slic3r-1.34.1.24

Also please note that we have changed the support interface pattern from zig-zag to concentric for soluble supports with the Slic3r-1.34.1.24 release.
