Add a "Install Lazer?" Prompt to installer? right now it just immediately overwrites your install if you already have one

Currently it just installs as soon as you open it and if you already have an install it overwrites it

Just found this out the hard way cause I wanted to check if the installer had a repair tool (having fps issues atm) I open the installer and it just installs without any prompts to confirm I want to install Lazer. I opened my game to all my settings being left unchanged but all of my Songs and skins are gone :) (I'M DYING INSIDE)

Running the installer again shouldn't affect your data, that is stored separately. If you can attach your logs (settings > export logs), it might have some indication as to what happened

Ok I just figured out the files are still on my pc osu just for some reason doesn't show them in game. Could this be because of the installer being a way earlier version of the game?

Found an old thread where someones beatmaps dissapeared and they renamed a client_corrupt.realm file to be the standard client.realm and that fixed it. Thanks for bearing with my stupidity

You somehow managed to run a build from 2024 in the middle of whatever you were doing

Running osu 2025.316.0.0 at 2025-03-19 04:28:49, Running osu 2024.312.1.0 at 2025-03-19 04:33:33 then back to Running osu 2025.316.0.0 at 2025-03-19 04:34:08

Open your osu folder (settings > open osu! folder), then close the game. There is likely a file called client_1742358814_corrupt.realm in there. Delete the current client.realm file, then rename that file to client.realm

Yep I found the answer haha. Turns out it had been a longer time than a thought since I ran that installer to install the game
