Download Tweets from a list of IDs

Can I use gallery-dl to download tweets (specifically text tweets) from a list of post IDs/urls (not from an account)?

To download from a list of URLs, use -i / --input-file:

  -i, --input-file FILE       Download URLs found in FILE ('-' for stdin).
                              More than one --input-file can be specified

Thank you, I got it to work and download them in a format that I want. But I would need it to work for downloading thousands of posts, would that be possible?

Put all URLs you want to download in a plaintext file and use it with -i / --input-file. You will probably get a rate-limit warning after a few hundred posts, but you could let gallery-dl handle it or try to avoid it with --sleep and/or --sleep-request.

gallery-dl --sleep-request 5 -i posts.txt

You might want to use -I / --input-file-comment instead of -i to have completed URLs marked as done.
