Enter hook is not triggered when you directly cd into a subdirectory

On a Ubuntu-based WSL installation on Windows 11 I have a directory ~/topdir that contains a subidrectory ~/topdir/subdir. Inside ~/topdir there is a mise.toml file with the following contents:

[hooks]
enter = 'echo Entered project'
leave = 'echo Left project'

If starting from ~ I cd into topdir (using cd topdir), I see Entered project printed on my bash shell. If then I cd subdir nothing is printed (as expected). If I then go back to the root using cd ~ 'Left project' is printed on the shell (also as expected).
However, if then I cd directly into subdir using cd topdir/subdir nothing is printed in the shell. Even if I go to topdir using cd topdir or cd. . from subdirnothing is printed. If I exit to the root again usingcd ~orcd ..I can seeLeft project` printed.

I think this is not the expected behavior. My expectation is that the enter hook should not only be run when you cd into the directory containing the mise.toml file, but when you first cd into any directory inside that "top" folder. This would make the enter hook "symmetrical" vs the leave hook.

Some might want the current behavior, but it IMHO this should not be the default.

Seems to be fixed in the latest version (2025.1.9).
