With an empty "Snapshot: " apt no longer throws a coredump when trying e.g. apt-get -S 20250301 update with an activated grml repository.

yep

1203-102756 < juliank> but that bug is weird
1203-103047 < juliank> It seemingly created a succesful snapshot entry for grml and then it gave up
1203-103053 < juliank> For the second source

is there also a bts entry?
at least in there it should be mentioned we'll ship this workaround

/me was too lazy to run reportbug *pfeif*

fwiw, extending the man-page so it becomes clear how to even use that
