Fixes #1480

Description

It is because onDropEnd function runs with the draggableInfo which has the same src as the one in the other gallery. And since src is the only identifier we use, I added a check if the draggableInfo.element belongs to the parent i.e. this gallery component before deleting (because we anyways run delete functions for the elements inside the component).

Walkthrough

The pull request updates the onDropEnd function within the useGalleryReorder hook. It adds a validation step to verify that the container reference (containerRef) is defined and that it contains the draggable element. If the container reference is not present or the element is not found in the container, the function returns early, preventing any further drop processing. This change ensures that the drop action only proceeds when it occurs within the designated container and helps to avoid unintended updates in scenarios such as cross-gallery reordering. No changes were made to the declarations of exported or public entities.

86-88: Excellent addition to prevent unintended deletions!

This check correctly addresses the issue described in the PR by ensuring that the element being dropped actually belongs to the current gallery container before attempting to remove it. This prevents unintended deletions when dragging between different galleries, where draggableInfo.src might match between galleries.

    • @coderabbitai modularize this function.
  • PR comments: Tag @coderabbitai in a new PR comment to ask questions about the PR branch. For the best results, please provide a very specific query, as very limited context is provided in this mode. Examples:
    • @coderabbitai gather interesting stats about this repository and render them as a table. Additionally, render a pie chart showing the language distribution in the codebase.
    • @coderabbitai read src/utils.ts and generate unit testing code.
    • @coderabbitai read the files in the src/scheduler package and generate a class diagram using mermaid and a README in the markdown format.
    • @coderabbitai help me debug CodeRabbit configuration file.

Note: Be mindful of the bot's finite context window. It's strongly recommended to break down tasks such as reading entire modules into smaller chunks. For a focused discussion, use review comments to chat about specific files and their changes, instead of using the PR comments.
