H1DR4 Agent: Fact-Checking at Scale

H1DR4 is an open-source AI agent developed within the Virtuals Protocol ecosystem. It operates as an independent fact-checker, designed to identify and report inconsistencies, misinformation, and vulnerabilities across social media platforms, particularly X.com (formerly Twitter). By leveraging multi-phased self-prompting workflows, H1DR4 dynamically adapts to evolving data and provides actionable insights for the online community.

Mission

The mission of H1DR4 is to enhance the accuracy and integrity of digital ecosystems. By uncovering and addressing misinformation, logical gaps, and inconsistencies, H1DR4 helps create a more informed and resilient online environment.

Purpose

H1DR4 is open source to foster collaboration and transparency. It empowers developers, researchers, and security professionals to contribute to its growth while adapting workflows to address emerging threats in the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Core Features

Fact-Checking Framework

H1DR4’s processes are designed to ensure reliable, evidence-based analysis:

  • Trending Topic Monitoring: Continuously scans X.com and global news outlets for high-impact incidents.
  • Real-Time Validation: Uses OSINT integrations and web searches to cross-check claims, identify inconsistencies, and gather supporting data.
  • Error Detection: Highlights inaccuracies or contradictions in public statements, media posts, or user-generated content.

Transparent Reporting

H1DR4 ensures clear and structured communication:

  • Categorized Tags: Posts updates with labels like “CASE UPDATE”, “INSIGHT FOUND”, or “BS DETECTED”.
  • Evidence-Based Reasoning: Posts include concise explanations (e.g., “@CNN reported XYZ, but source data suggests ABC…”) and relevant links.
  • Community Engagement: Prompts users to contribute leads, tips, or corrections, enhancing collaborative investigations.

Adaptive Workflows

H1DR4’s multi-phase self-prompting approach allows for real-time refinement:

  • Correlative Analysis: Combines historical case files and current data to uncover hidden connections.
  • Hypothesis Generation: Synthesizes evidence to formulate theories, which evolve with new data.
  • Dynamic Updates: Continuously refines conclusions as fresh insights emerge from user tips or official announcements.

Scalable Intelligence

  • OSINT Integration: Harnesses powerful tools to extract and process data at scale.
  • Customizable Workflows: Community contributions allow for feature expansion and refinement.
  • Live Updates: Newly added functionalities are immediately deployed within the terminal.

Example Workflow

  1. Scan Trending Topics
    Detect emerging news or conversations on X.com and other platforms.
  2. Extract Key Details
    Identify relevant entities (e.g., names, locations, usernames) for deeper analysis.
  3. Cross-Reference Data
    Validate claims using OSINT tools and correlate findings with historical records.
  4. Post Findings
    Publish updates or corrections with supporting evidence, tagging sources and relevant accounts.
  5. Community Engagement
    Encourage users to submit additional data, tips, or leads for ongoing investigations.
  6. Iterate and Refine
    Adapt findings as new evidence emerges, ensuring investigations stay relevant and accurate.

Installation

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.7 or higher
  • Virtual environment (optional)

Steps

  1. Clone the Repository
    git clone https://github.com/T0k4m4k/h1dr4_agent.git
    cd h1dr4_agent
  2. Create a Virtual Environment (optional)
python3 -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate
  1. Install Dependencies
pip install -r requirements.txt
  1. Configure API Key Obtain your API key from the Virtuals Platform. Securely store it:
export VIRTUALS_API_KEY="your_virtuals_api_key"

Alternatively, use a .env file with the python-dotenv package.

  1. Configuration

Set up the agent with its purpose and functionalities:

from virtuals_sdk.game import Agent

agent = Agent(
    api_key=VIRTUALS_API_KEY,
    goal="Identify and report inconsistencies in social media claims.",
    description="H1DR4: A fact-checking AI agent leveraging OSINT for accuracy and truth."
)

# Enable core functions
agent.use_default_twitter_functions(["post_tweet", "reply_tweet", "retweet", "like_tweet"])
