Flatpak version using gnome instead of qt #1086
-
With the risk of being laughed out of the room... If i search flathub for parabolic, I can only see one version. I today looked at this repo on ghub and realized there are both gnome and qt versions. Thanks in advance. |

So there's no way for Flatpak to detect which desktop environment you are using and building either the GNOME or Qt version according to that. Of course, there are more desktop environment than just those 2 as well. We would have to publish a second version of Parabolic to Flatpak that builds the Qt version, but this is not something we are looking to support. Officially, Nickvision supports the GNOME version for Linux systems and the Qt version for Windows systems. Although the Qt version does work on Linux, you would have to compile, build, and install it manually from source. If you are using an Arch-based distro, a Qt version is unofficially available via the AUR. |
