cargo-dist is not actively developed. I don't think there's a big risk of getting unmaintained at the moment, but I feel I need to prepare for when some big change hits cargo-dist. For example, it seems it still uses Ubuntu 20.04, although it can be updated easily (cf. Need to update from ubuntu-20.04 runner images axodotdev/cargo-dist#1760).
Now that GitHub Actions provide the ARM runners, the case of cross-compilation is only ARM Linux. It probably won't require very complex setup if I go without cargo-dist.
