The mobile menu is having issues with the sub menu items. They are overlapping each other. Just noticed this today and think it might be related to latest Astroid Update?

Joomla 4.4.12
Astroid 3.1.12
PHP 8.3
Chrome desktop but shrunk screen to mobile

Here is a video of my screen - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TP5T5wxugHXUMD6Lu0zfAuz5bFnYGdJA/view

Thanks

also my mobile menu colors changed after the update for some reason. I hope that isn't the case for all my other sites i've upgraded to latest astroid

@bayrpaul Please check if the mobile background color is set properly?
Go to template options >> Colors >> Mobile Menu

Sonvnn, thanks and that did the trick with the sub menus overlapping as the background was transparent.

Was this caused by the latest astroid update? just curious if I have to go fix this on my other sites.

Thanks

I fixed this issue in 3d9ba95

You can download v3-branch and test it.

Best Regards,
Sonny

Sonvnn, thanks and I did upload that and it did change the transparent background on mobile menu to white, which is fine for now. I wish it would of kept the existing color scheme, but at least it's allows the mobile menu to function. When do you think this will get in the next update, as I can see everyone who updates to Astroid 3.1.12 will have issues with all of their sites and probably should disable the astroid 3.1.12 as that will cause a lot of problems.

Also it seems lately that a lot of Astroid updates are breaking existing functions and very unstable. I now have to spend 8+ hours going through my 300 websites and fix the mobile menu. I think the Astroid Community would agree that we need a stable version and maybe a beta release version as an option to update.

Examples of this are:

  1. a couple astroid versions ago, changed the mobile/ipad/desktop breakpoints which caused all my sites to have extra padding between the main nav and body.
  2. Acy Mailing Latest Update crashes the entire site which you all did fix in recent update I believe but could be wrong.
  3. latest update causing the mobile menu to not work properly.

Would it be possible on the Joomla System Extension update screen to at least have the link under the new update that goes to Astroid, to direct link to the Astroid Change Log with explanations (Enhancement vs Bug fix) so I can review before updating? I really don't want to update going forward for a while.

On a side note, running google page speed tests, I know CMS platforms can get bloated, but the trend now is less bloat and web devs are moving to headless cms. Any thought on reducing the bloat for page speed, especially mobile page speed since Google Search Algo heavily relies on Mobile Page Speed?

Thanks
