Setting Up the Backend for Local Login to idurar-erp-crm

1. Update the .env file in the backend folder:

   Open the .env file in the backend folder and update the DATABASE variable with your MongoDB URI:

   DATABASE="your-mongodb-uri"

   • If you have MongoDB Compass installed locally, you can use:

     DATABASE="mongodb://localhost:27017/db-name"

   • Alternatively, you can use your MongoDB Atlas URL.

2. Install backend dependencies and run the setup command:

   • After saving the .env file, make sure you are in the backend directory, then install the necessary dependencies and run the setup
     command:

   npm install
   npm run setup

3. This will create the necessary schemas and a default admin account with the credentials:

   • Email: [email protected]
   • Password: admin123

You can use any string as the JWT secret, but it's recommended to generate a secure one using a website like jwt.io or by running the following command in your terminal:

node -e "console.log(require('crypto').randomBytes(32).toString('hex'))"

Once generated, paste it into your backend/.env file as:

JWT_SECRET=your_generated_secret

After doing this, restart your backend server and try logging in again.
