When I use the shortcut 'toggle left sidebars' it always defaults to expanding completely so that the editor, files and folders are all shown. I rarely require this view and my most common view is to have the editor and files view open. I think it would be sensible for the 'toggle left sidebars' shortcut to default to the last used view, otherwise it seems a redundant shortcut given that there is already one to display the editor, files and folder.

I like the idea. @erusev will have the last call.

Until then, you can use either the ⌃2 shortcut or ⌘+swipe left/right.
