Not a bug per se, but it seems like Outlook on Windows changed the way animated GIFs behave. Previously: an animated GIF would play 3 times then stop and show a play button to reactivate the animation. Now: animation play indefinitely, and a play/pause button appears on hover. Here’s a video of this new behavior in action:

This might be related to Outlook for Microsoft 365 update from June 02 ("Version 2005") which states:

Tell your stories with animated GIFs: Animated GIFs are now supported in the Office editor - your documents just got snazzier

It seems like they rolled up some changes in the desktop app yes.
i should open a new issue for this but the behaviour of Google Fonts has changed too. (bolder)

@gregoire-bessagnet That sounds interesting. Someone on Slack yesterday mentionned some Google Fonts discrepancy too with Outlook. If you can open an issue for that, that'd be great.
