If a user decides to join, then changes its mind, he will leave an entry in the join queue.
Handling dropped connection looks non-trivial (see hyperium/hyper#707 or iron/iron#414).
A workaround would be to have a short timeout (ex: 10s or shorter) in the join command. This uses a bit more bandwidth, but limits the damages.
