https://github.com/frostming/legit is way more popular but oddly simple, why is that? Would that cause issues?

legit has been around longer than Gitless, which could explain the difference. But I don't think there's any reason why Gitless can't catch up; it's has all of legit features and more.

Would that cause issues?

Issues in what sense? People can still use legit and Gitless together if they want to. However, I don't know why they'd want to do that.

Perhaps we should mention legit in the home page and say what extra features you get if you choose to use Gitless instead

@spderosso what I say "would it cause issues" I am referring to the average use case of gitless when compared to the lack of features in Legit. But then again people have suggested that adding Legit into Gitless would be beneficial while others claim it to be bloat.

Besides legit, there are git-branchless, jj, and sturdy. AFAIK, they all abandon the concept staging area, like gitless.
