I've seen the subject of transferring files between modern PCs and vintage PCs that may or may not have network hardware come up from time to time in various places. Sometimes people are already trying to use Kermit for the job but running into problems.
So with the help of my trusty Turbo XT clone, I've written up some notes on how to do this. Its not at all comprehensive (there is Using MS-DOS Kermit and Using C-Kermit for that), but it may help get new users get started or figure out where their problem is.
