Cage crashes when I turn off the screen

I installed Cage from Raspbian's repository on a Raspberry PI Zero 2 W to run my QtQuick app. It works fine but when I turn off the screen it crashes with Basic output test failed for HDMI-A-1

also Cage's log are garbled if I don't clear the TTY before running it.

Which version is provided in Raspbian repositories i.e. cage -v?
The provided logs are too minimalistic to guess where things go wrong. Adding debug logs for Cage at least would be nice.

How do I enable debug logs without compiling?

Unfortunately on 0.1.4 there is no way to enable debug logs without recompiling. -D has not been released yet.
