LG Oled + Hue Gradient only 8 Zones

Hi,

i´ve installed Picap and Hyperhdr on my LG Oled. I have some hue color lights in my entertainemt zone, but i have removed them all and left the 77" gradient play strip. When i add the strip it will be diveded into 8 ID´s. I can force the location so it will match the physical. But there will be only 8 zones arround the tv. Is this a restriction from the hue api v8 or i´m i wrong with the configuration.
i have also some Iris lamps right and left outside that i used with the hdmi synch box without any problems, but if there are only 8 id´s i need them for the gradfient strip.

I dont have such devices but it seems to me that this is normal for these Hue gradients. From what users reported to me, usually 7 segments were available and you have 8 but maybe it results from the fact that you have a much larger setup. This is a limitation of the device and not the protocol when it can also theoretically handle 10 or so lamps (https://www.philips-hue.com/en-gb/explore-hue/propositions/entertainment/sync-with-pc).

Hi, thanks. I have 2 Iris + other hue hardware. But i used the gradient + both iris for tv synch with the box. I removed both iris from the entertainemnt setup and the gradient strip is left with 8 zones. adding both iris result in 10 zones.
Seems to be a limitation with the gradient strip. Too bad, cause i use it also for ambient lightning. Maybe i got with some sk6812 strip arround the tv and leave the gradient for ambient light with the other.
