Cura Version

5.10.0 beta 1

Operating System

MacOS 10.12.7 monterry

Printer

Ender 3

Reproduction steps

MacOS 10.12.7
Spacemouse Spaceexpolrer
macbook air 2017
Fresh reboot, just mail and safari running(plus cura and 3dconnexion home)

  1. Installed spacemouse SW including "3dconnexion Home"
  2. Installed cura beta over existing 5.9 install
  3. Rebooted
  4. Opened cura and loaded model (STL, not very complex)
  5. At this point I had Spacemouse control of up, down, left and right, fwd/back tilt, rotate but NOT left/right tilt
  6. None of the buttons work on the mouse
  7. I closed cura and restarted, reloaded model
  8. all axes are now working
  9. Open CDConnecion home, add Cura as an application, set Button T to Application command "Fit"
  10. in cura now all axes are working
  11. Press T button
  12. Now Rotate and LR Tilt axes have frozen.
  13. If i then open Fusion360, the spacemouse works on all axes in fusion, but not in Cura

Actual results

It seems that after pressing one of the space mouse buttons, it disables at least one, maybe more axes.

Expected results

I expected all axes to continue to be useable even if the button commands were not implemented.

Add your .zip and screenshots here ⬇️

I'd include a video/screenshots, but it won't make a great deal of sense unless you can see me pressing buttons.

Hi @MarkB789

Thanks for your report 👍
I don't have a Mac to try myself, but I'll forward your request to someone who can check if they can reproduce it.

Fingers crossed 🤞

A little extra info;
Today I was in cura, and caused the axes not responding issue outlined above.

I exited cura and later came back in. The axes was still not responding.

Then I pressed one of the buttons again, and the axis came back to life., so there is an element of persistence to it. Plus it is somehow reversible.
