I think OAuth2/OpenID and maybe SAML are the most used currently.

Oauth2 is a protocol where as openid is a standard built on top of oauth2.

Let me rephrase, why kind of providers for SSO are you looking for? I.e. Google, Github Microsoft.

I use Authentik as identity provider which supports the stuff above.
