Motivation

H100s are coming sooner than originally anticipated. We need to be ready to invoice for them.

Completion Criteria

Rates tables have H100s and scripts properly pull and associate H100 data with H100 rates.

Description

  • Update rates table with H100 pricing at $6.04
  • Update scripts to pull data for H100 properly
  • Test that including this did not break anything else

Completion dates

Desired - 2025-01-29
Required - TBD

@joachimweyl Which clusters do we expect to have our H100s? Both Openshift and Openstack?

Initially, we will only have them in OpenShift. That being said, it is not out of the realm of possibility that we will need to move some to OpenStack at some point, so we should be prepared for both.
@msdisme should we take the time to code for OpenStack, or are we making it a hard and fast rule that we will not add H100s to OpenStack?

I will bump this again today with Wayne/Orran.

The PRs to allow the billing of H100s have been submitted. I have implemented billing in both Openshift and Openstack, and they are both relatively small PRs

Great - lets make sure the OpenStack pricing does NOT get published.

Pricing is published for both OpenStack and OpenShift on the same page. SUs are not location-specific. We would need to work with Milson to update this page and update how it presents for OpenShift vs OpenStack.

The NERC pricing page should be modified in this box to:

Image change from: > H100 GPUs will be available in early 2025.

to "H100 GPUs will be available in OpenShift in early 2025."

Also this page - VM Flavors should not have H100 listed as an option and the Nova flavors page as well as the calculator should not include H100's.

At this point we should not advertise that VMs may be available via OpenShift virtualization.

Calculator OpenStack Flavor page has the calculations for H100s but the drop has no H100 listed, this means that it is ready for us to add H100 if we ever have to but the user is unable to select H100 from the flavor dropdown.

@QuanMPhm can you link the 2 PRs that do this update?

@QuanMPhm what is the status of this issue, it looks like the PR linked is closed.

@joachimweyl There are 2 issues added as the dependancies of this. One of them is in progress, and the PR for it is waiting for Naved's response
